2024 Ms Oklahoma Senior America Linda Traw, of Tulsa, OK, was crowned Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Mustang Performing Arts Center. Linda is a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Jenks Public Schools. She loves teaching & enjoys dancing, singing, & reading stories with a dramatic flair. Linda believes teaching pre-kindergarten in public schools sets a critical foundation for her students’ long term educational goals.
Linda met her husband of 38 years while volunteering for the Special Olympics in 1985. They established a career of entertainment while residing in Kansas. Known as “Miss Sunshine”, Linda who is a retired professional clown, clowned at businesses, the U. S. Postal Service, the Kansas Governor’s mansion & in 1990 at the White House Annual Easter Egg Roll. That year a son was added to the Traw household. Today Andrew lives and works in Tulsa & has blessed Linda with two grandchildren Adeilta & Zayne. Linda is known to her grandchildren as “Siti” in recognition of her Lebanese heritage.
Linda accomplished a lifelong goal in the year 2000 when she undertook music lessons & subsequently began to sing publicly. Since that time, Linda has performed in 4 musical theater productions in Tulsa, Sapulpa, Sand Springs & Broken Arrow. She has volunteered teaching drama to youth for state & national competition, served the homeless, taught children at her church & has sung in the choir & retirement homes.
Linda has spent her life serving and sharing her gifts with others. She loves her little corner of the world & works tirelessly to contribute to & build up anything & everything in which she is involved.
